Responsibilities
 
Are you passionate about marketing exciting content, creatively and with reach? Are you interested in working with top executives, government leaders and international journalists? We are looking for a Project Manager for Marketing & Communications to support the St. Gallen Symposium around media projects and tasks.
 
Your Main Tasks

  • Support in the further development & creation of our COM products.
  • Project-based management and training of the 53rd communications team (composed of approx. 4 students).
  • PR work for internal and external communication.
  • Organisation of media relations (e.g. interview coordination of high-ranking politicians and top executives, media releases, media spokesperson role).
  • Responsibility for media monitoring.
  • Develop PR toolkits, press releases, messaging, and Q&As.
 
Your Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme at a university (ideally related to marketing or communication).
  • Knowledge of PR and Communication of an influential brand.
  • Very confident in the use of MS Office and the whole Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premier and Lightroom; After Effects is a plus).
  • Skills in Wordpress and HTML are advantageous.
  • Ability to proficiently handle cameras and capture quality photos and videos.
  • Prior experience with a Corporate Design Manual and feeling responsible for it.
  • Sound experience with content management systems as well as social media channels.
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner with timely achievement of objectives.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Enjoys communicating effectively with various internal and external people and gathering relevant information.
  • Ability, openness and perseverance to pass along your passion and skills to the members of the International Students’ Committee who are new to marketing and communications and are eager to learn.
  • Success in planning and executing PR programmes with successful achievement of goals within set budget and time frames advantageous.
  • Proficient in the use of the German language, the formulation of meaningful and readable texts and the precise choice of words.
  • Very good knowledge in English.
